The hand-turned wooden handle, shaped into a charming bow, is another increasingly rare feature, as these distinctive handles are gradually being replaced by the more common curved umbrella handle. The generous ruffles become even more striking when the umbrella is closed, gathering into a beautiful bouquet-like shape.
